About this guide

How the dining facts are checked

Every restaurant name and hour on À Table comes from a venue's own page or an official source. Where a venue publishes nothing, the site says "not published" and leaves the gap open.

Where the facts come from

The facts on this site come from the venues' own pages, from Loto-Québec pages and from official sources. For the Hippodrome 3R, that means the track's own site, and for Playground in Kahnawà:ke, Playground's site and the pages of its restaurants. Each fact was checked on October 7 and October 10, 2026.

Sometimes two official pages disagree. The guide then says they differ, or it leaves the figure out. Race days at the Hippodrome 3R are one case: Loto-Québec gives Sundays and Fridays, the track's own calendar Sundays and Thursdays. THE RAIL at Playground has no hours here, because Playground's own site gives three different schedules. St-Hubert signé Casino at Casino de Charlevoix has no Friday or Saturday hours here: Loto-Québec's English and French pages differ.

How hours are shown

Restaurant hours appear only as each restaurant or venue publishes them. They are never worked out from the gaming floor's hours, so a casino open until 5 a.m. says nothing about its kitchen. Where nothing is published, the page says "not published".

All times are Eastern, as published, laid out as one week from Monday. A service that runs past midnight belongs to the evening it started. Seasonal places appear only with the dates their venue states. Holiday hours are not given here; check the venue's own site.

On the home page, the table setting sorts restaurants by three meal times. Lunch means serving at some point between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m., and Dinner between 5 p.m. and 9 p.m. Late means serving at some point after 10 p.m. A restaurant counts only on days its published hours cover that time.

Pictures and distances

Venue photos come from Wikimedia Commons under free licences, with the credit beside each photo. Where no free photo fits, the page shows a plate drawn from the facts. Service days and hours run around the rim. The venue sits on an outline of Québec, with its straight-line distance to Montréal. The dishes on the home page are generated pictures of generic food, not any venue's dishes.

Distances are straight lines from each venue to Montréal city hall, computed from map coordinates. They are not driving distances, and the site gives no travel times of its own. No venue is given stars or scores, or placed above another.

Questions at the table

Are the dishes on the home page served at the venues?

No, those are generated pictures of generic food, not the venues' dishes. The guide describes no dish that a venue does not name.

Why are some restaurant hours missing?

Some restaurants and venues publish no hours, and the guide never works them out from the gaming floor's hours. In those cases the page says "not published".

Are the kilometres road distances?

No, each one is a straight line from the venue to Montréal city hall, computed from map coordinates. The site gives no driving distances or travel times of its own.
